Face Mask are Required at State ConventionWe just received notification that Hilton (DoubleTree) is now requiring face masks for all guest (Hotel & Event). Attendees please beware of this requirement. The State will furnish disposable mask, the hotel is providing hand sanitizer.
Still time to register for the convention but do it ASAP. We need to give a head count to the hotel and plan for meals

Even with the National Convention cancellation there are still many important business decision that have to be made, life goes on. There will actually be a business National Convention later in October which will tally all the votes from all the State Conventions. The new National Secretary-Treasurer and 4 National Vice Presidents (2 from the East and 2 from the West) will be announced. Missouri’s Jim Maher is a candidate for one of the West Vice Presidents and needs your votes at our State Convention. Additionally there are a number of Proposed Articles & Bylaws Changes that will either pass or fail according to the States voting. Please go to the National UPMA website and review the proposals before attending the State Convention.
The $25.00 registration fee will be reimbursed for Active and Retirees members at the registration table upon check-in.
In a nutshell our 2020 State Convention will be shorten to a one day event this year. Below is a Tentative schedule.
State Convention morning general session will have National and State Officer reports, the announcement of the Scholarship winners, and any other important business. A presentation on the National Proposed Articles & Bylaws Changes will also be given.
Lunch is included with your registration (additional lunch tickets for those who did not register can be purchased on the registration form) and everyone will eat together, actives and retirees.
After lunch the Retirees will break off into a smaller room to conduct their business and elect a President and one Vice-President.
Actives Members will reassembly in the large room to conduct their business. They will elect a State President and 2 Vice Presidents and vote on National Proposed Articles & Bylaws Changes
With COVID 19 in mind we will attempt to have proper social distancing with tables 6 feet apart. There will be sanitizer and masks available for those choosing to use them.
